No certification, accreditation or approval
XALPES LLC operates an internal testing laboratory. It is not an accredited laboratory, a notified body or a certification body, and it claims no ISO 17025 accreditation, CE marking, NIOSH approval, FDA clearance or any other regulatory status. Unless expressly stated in a signed document issued by XALPES LLC, information, internal tests, technical summaries, prototypes, concepts, reports or product descriptions published on this website do not constitute official certification, regulatory approval, third-party validation or a guarantee of performance. Regulatory tests are conducted by qualified third-party laboratories where required.
Research center project
The XALPES Research Laboratory & Pilot Production Facility in Austin, Texas is a project under development. It is not built and not operational. No date, surface or equipment list is guaranteed.
Testing and prototype limitations
Test results, technical evaluations and development data may depend on specific samples, materials, test conditions, equipment, protocols and environmental parameters. Results may not be representative of all production batches, use cases or real-world conditions.
XRS scale
The XRS scale (XRS 001:2026) is a heuristic published under the sole responsibility of XALPES LLC. It is not a standard, has no regulatory value, does not classify filtration efficiency and does not authorize any regulated use. A mask conforming to a given filtration class remains so independently of its XRS level; conversely, a favourable XRS level implies no filtration performance.
The human-panel validation described in clause 14 of the reference has not been conducted at the date of publication. Any XRS level declaration based on the first edition must state this status.
The XRS level describes a new mask, in the reference state, within the conditions of use set by the manufacturer. The effective wearing duration of a device is the minimum of several independent ceilings — breathing endurance, clogging, humidity, hygiene, fit — and, first of all, the manufacturer's instructions, which prevail over everything else. A "no limit" breathing endurance means that breathing resistance imposes no limit; it never authorizes use beyond the manufacturer's conditions. Breathing endurances are design indications derived from a model, not medical prescriptions or occupational-safety instructions.
The use of the XRS designation or of a level X1 to X6 on a product without the written authorization of XALPES LLC is prohibited. The calculator on the XRS page is a design aid only.
FFC marking
The FFC marking is in preparation. No specification, criterion or condition of use is published; nothing on this website may be read as a claim of conformity to it.
NBC-1 limitation
Information relating to NBC-1 is preliminary and provided as part of an ongoing research and development program under intellectual property protection. It does not certify protection, does not replace official emergency instructions and is not a substitute for regulated respiratory protection, evacuation, sheltering, decontamination or qualified radiation-safety guidance.
No medical, safety or emergency advice
The website does not provide medical advice, emergency instructions, radiation-safety advice, chemical-safety advice or occupational-safety guidance. Users must follow applicable laws, emergency authorities, trained professionals and product-specific instructions when available.
